As the national music teachers association, MENZA has mailed lead sheets and direction to all 2800 NZ schools in the first week of MAY to ready students for "Hook Line and Sing-along" on MAY 31. “We want to get as many people singing together as possible - for fun and to focus on the fundamental pleasures of life, music, and the importance of music education.” Stephanie Lees, MENZA Chair.

The Music Commission has received a huge response to it's competition for school students to write a song for Music Month 2010. Any musical style was accepted - the song just needed to be about being a kiwi! 101 Students from schools all around the country entered. A fabulous effort, so early in the year.
